Quick Trigger Kennels is a small veteran family-owned kennel that produces Purebred Fox Red Labradors just north of the Twin Cities in Minnesota. We choose dogs with great temperament, personality, natural ability, proven pedigrees and health clearances. Our dogs and puppies are well socialized to children, other dogs, and other pets.The puppies come with a 26-month health guarantee, vet check, and the Quick Trigger Kennels puppy program that includes ENS, ESI, QTK Sound program, potty training, introduction to birds and water, puppy spa, also we use tools from Puppy Culture and Empowered Breeder Program; puppies are dewormed at 2, 4, 6, 8 weeks old, receive their 1st vaccines, and are microchipped and AKC registration (Full registration is only obtained with our strict guidelines and approval process). Our puppy program is very thorough, balanced, and includes also the very best nutritional supplements and food on the market.Our breeding dogs are tested through Paw Print Genetics for the common diseases within the Labrador breed. These results can be seen under each dog’s in Hunting Lab Pedigree which has their Paw Print Genetics linked to them.

Our goal at Quick Trigger Kennels is to continue to improve the Labrador breed in areas of health, genetics, intellect, looks and temperament by breeding the best labradors together. We continue to research all areas to develop the best Labradors we can to give our customers the absolute best quality Labrador to fit their desired needs. Our Philosophy is to produce puppies where we are producing them with the 4P’s in mind at all times:

Pedigree – Titled lineage showing lines are proven.
Preservation – Genetic and Health Test Dam and Sire to reproduce only healthy lines
Performance – Measuring own Dam and Sire in the Field to show trainability and desire
Personality – Show off switch, can have desire but has off switch and calmness to be part of family, and being nice looking helps too!

Our Labradors are beautiful Purebred dogs that carry superior temperament, drive, and train-ability. Our goal is to breed a well-balanced retriever – one that can be a great hunting companion that excels when trained and then come home and be a full-time house dog. When it comes time to train, they can turn it on a switch, but when it comes time to relax, they can relax just as fast!

We strive to produce Labrador puppies that have excellent pedigrees, healthy, intelligent, trainable, natural instincts/desire and have personalities that are a pleasure to have in your home and will excel in the field. Of course, our dogs and puppies are absolutely stunning to look at too! We also offer Labrador Retriever stud service from our top-quality males.

We strive to breed the Fox Red Labrador Retriever to have intelligence, beauty with lots of drive and trainability in the field yet having that personable loving personality making them both wonderful family companions and excellent hunters! We take a great deal of time researching just the right breeding combination, resulting in puppies very strong in intelligence, health and genetics. All of which allows you to take your new hunting companion and family member to the next level. We try and choose studs that also suit our girl’s temperament, pedigree, looks and are from titled working lines. Our goal at Quick Trigger Kennels is to continue to improve the Labrador breed in areas of health, genetics, intellect, looks and temperament by breeding the best labradors together. We continue to research all areas to develop the best Labradors we can to give our customers the absolute best quality Labrador to fit there desired needs.

Our dogs at Quick Trigger Kennels are primarily of the color “Fox Red”. The Fox Red Labrador Retriever is a color variation from the traditional Yellow Labrador Retriever. While their coats are called “red,” these dogs are a very dark shade of yellow. The AKC technical color of the fox red Labrador is “Yellow”. The beautiful red shade of our dogs varies but, all have the color of a fox red. The coats change color over the year, and will typically darken as the dogs age.

Quick Trigger Kennels occasionally has litters including “Black” Labradors. QTK will introduce a top-quality Black pedigree labrador (NFC)to one of their top QTK Fox Red pedigree labrador females to produce excellent offspring with will carry the yellow and black coats that will also include National Field Trial Champion pedigrees as the sires. Quick Trigger Kennels is always looking to improve the Labrador breed by bettering the pedigree and keeping the dogs healthy (health testing and genetic testing). This is why we are bringing in some of the other National Field Champion and Field Champion Labradors into our lines. We believe that combining these lines with our dogs are going to make spectacular dogs that can compete at all levels and still be the most loving hunting companion at home.

Quick Trigger Kennels is situated on 150 beautiful acres that is dedicated to Labradors!! We have put in 9 ponds for training, hunting, tests, or trials and have plans on expanding our water training grounds. We also raise our own pheasants for training. Our property is continuously being improved for better training grounds for the dogs. Our clients are always invited to come train with us! We encourage it and love to see our pups work with our clients!!

Quick Trigger Kennels has been a phenomenal place for our family. Kelly has been so responsive and resourceful for “all-things-dog.” Not only was getting our new puppy a great experience, she went out of her way to help us when our 9 year old lab tore her CCL. She is enthusiastic about the dogs, their abilities and their health. The pups are so well cared for and given so much attention from the start. Quick Trigger Kennels love their dogs. They give the newest member of your family the best start to life possible. We will be back for another one when the time is right.

We researched kennels for our Red Lab and received a great recommendation from our trainer that has trained other labs for us. Quick Trigger has been amazing from the beginning and continued through bringing our Red Lab River home. Extremely good blood lines, healthy dogs that with tremendous drive for hunting and very lovable for family dog. Our female River is 8 months old and with 6 weeks of training is doing great with water retrieves when we duck hunt and will be going in the field next week for her first pheasant hunt. Highly recommend QTK.

We are so pleased with our puppy experience with Kelly and Brent at QTK! I was initially impressed by what I learned on the QTK website about their philosophy (Pedigree, Preservation, Performance and Personality) and by reading the many positive internet reviews. After my initial phone conversation with Kelly, I knew that QTK was the breeder for us. From genetic testing to early neurological stimulation, they have it covered. On top of that, I was repeatedly impressed with their honesty and kindness. The entire process for us took about 9 months because we held out for Ruby/Thunder pup. Throughout that time we were in regular contact with Brent and Kelly. Video sessions were made available via FB every couple of days after whelping and they were always open for an impromptu video call too. Thank you, QTK for a wonderful experience!

A healthy bloodline was most important to us so we did our research and found Quick Trigger Kennels. I can't say enough good things about QTK and all the love they put into the whole process. They go above and beyond in every aspect and their puppies are truly a part of their family even after they have gone to their new forever homes. From my first phone call with Kelly to the texts and social media interactions we continue to have to this day, you can feel how truly invested they are in ensuring their puppies are going to homes where they will thrive. From the moment we called QTK to inquire about a puppy, we've felt like part of the family, Once we decided to get a puppy, they included us in milestones along the way, and provided us with information to ease the transition and begin training. And since we've brought him home, they've been a quick phone call away if we have any questions. Brent and Kelly are wholeheartedly dedicated to furthering the best qualities of the breed. We brought our puppy home in October and he's been everything we dreamed of: smart, driven, trainable, and a wonderful family dog. We've been so happy with him that we've put a deposit down for another that we plan to bring home next December. I can't say enough good things about this breeder. Amazing dogs doesn't even begin to cover it. Aside from the pride they take in the work they do to produce amazing dogs, they are extremely helpful to new owners even before you put down a deposit. They answered unending questions from me to help me decide whether we were the right fit. Throughout the pregnancy and whelping they provide constant updates and answers to questions. I asked for help in making a pick and they couldn't have made a more perfect match. They were incredibly hospitable for the pickup, and made sure that I had everything I needed to get home and going with my new puppy. They truly love what they do and they do it incredibly well!
